Terms of Service

Last updated: 7 July 2026 · Effective: 7 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Axoview, an open-source isometric diagramming tool (the "Software"). By using Axoview, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software. Your use of Axoview is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

1. The service

Axoview is provided free of charge as open-source software under the MIT License. It is offered on an "as available" basis. Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time, and the Software (including any hosted deployment) may be modified, suspended, or discontinued without notice or liability.

2. License

Axoview is licensed under the MIT License. Your rights to use, copy, modify, and distribute the Software are governed by that license. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights beyond it.

3. Your responsibilities

4. Third-party services

Axoview can store diagrams in your Google Drive and relies on Google's sign-in and Drive services. Those services are provided by Google under Google's own terms and privacy policy, over which we have no control. We are not responsible for the availability, behavior, changes, outages, pricing, or data handling of Google or any other third-party service.

5. No warranty

The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or that any data will be preserved, accurate, or free from loss or corruption.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the author(s), copyright holders, or contributors of Axoview be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, consequential, or punitive damages — including without limitation loss of data, loss of diagrams, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or cost of substitute services — arising out of or in any way connected with your use of, or inability to use, the Software, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, and whether or not the author has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Because some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, some of the above may not apply to you; in such cases liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law. Your sole and exclusive remedy for any dissatisfaction with the Software is to stop using it.

7. Data loss

Your diagrams live in your own Google Drive, your own browser, or a server you control. We operate no server that stores your diagram content and we cannot recover it for you. The author is not responsible for any loss, corruption, deletion, or inaccessibility of your data, however caused. Keep independent backups of anything important.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the author(s) and contributors of Axoview from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Software, your data, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Axoview after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using Axoview at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the Software, or any hosted deployment of it, at any time without notice or liability.

11. Governing law and severability

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the author's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision will be applied to the maximum extent permitted by law.
